business growth

EOFY – What does it mean for you?

Here in Australia, today is the last business day of the financial year.

How did you go? Did you achieve your goals? Did you have goals or did you just plod along and hope for the best?

Regardless of the result, with a brand new year beginning you have the opportunity to set course for a successful goal-driven 12 months.

Start by figuring out what exactly you want to achieve in that time frame then together with your team decide what strategies you need to put in place to make it happen.

I have a quote on my desktop that reads:

So who do you want to be? Who will you’re business be in 12 months?

What do you need to do next week, next month, next quarter to get there?

Write it down and post it in a prominent position in your meeting room.

Set timelines and accountability.

Monitoring progress regularly will determine just how successful you are; a dashboard or snapshot weekly meeting works well.

Remember, if you fail to plan you plan to fail!

Have a great year, John
